Ethics/Communicable Disease Training Announced

Training for Substance Abuse and Mental Health Professionals will be offered on Thursday, June 16th, at the Haywood Regional Medical Center, Fitness Center on LeRoy George Dr., Clyde, NC on the separate topics of Ethics for Substance Abuse Professionals and Hepatitis/Communicable Disease. The morning session will focus on Ethics and the afternoon session will focus on Hepatitis/Communicable Disease. The training is designed to meet the requirements of the N.C. Substance Abuse Professional Certification Board in both Ethics and Communicable Disease. 6.0 hours of Substance Abuse Specific credit have been approved by the N.C. Board. This training is brought to you by local practitioners, who are dedicated to providing high quality LOCAL training to meet the needs of area Substance Abuse and Mental Health Professionals. Your host for this training event will be Cecil Yount, M.A., C.C.A.S., C.C.S.

Patti Tiberi, LPC, CCAS, CCS will provide the training on Ethics. Tiberi has provided numerous trainings on the topics of Ethics and Substance Abuse Professional. Tiberi is currently employed in the field of Substance Abuse Prevention and maintains a limited private practice.

Beverly Hill, RN and Co-Director of Mountain Area Recovery Center in Asheville, NC will provide training on HIV/Communicable Disease. Hill, throughout her career, has worked in the fields of Public Health and addictions.

Registration for the day long training event begins at 8:30 a.m. in Classroom A on the second floor of the Haywood Regional Medical Center Fitness Center. The training begins at 9:00 a.m. and will run through 4:45 p.m. Lunch will be on your own.

The cost of the training is $75.00 per person. Purchase Orders from area agencies are acceptable. Personal checks may be made payable to and mailed to:
